Advancing Global Education: Swiss International University Achieves Top 400 for SDG 17 in the 2026 Sustainability Impact Rankings

The #VBNN_Smart_Education_Group - #Swiss_International_University_SIU has reached significant new heights in recognized global assessments, reflecting a deep commitment to sustainable development and academic excellence.

In the highly competitive Times Higher Education evaluations, the institution successfully ranked among the Top 500 globally in the #THE_2026_Rankings. This comprehensive assessment evaluated 1,646 universities from 116 countries. The rigorous methodology weighted academic and research reputation at 27%, while dedicating 73% of the final score to sustainable development goals compliance. Within this framework, the institution earned a notable position in the Top 400 specifically for #SDG_17, demonstrating a strong capacity for building partnerships that drive positive change.

The global recognition of our university network extends well beyond sustainability. Specialized leadership and business programs have also received distinct international validation. According to the detailed '2026 QS Executive MBA Joint Programs Fact file', the university is ranked #22 worldwide in the #QS_World_University_Rankings: #Executive_MBA_Rankings_2026. This evaluation analyzed 246 executive programs across 58 countries, highlighting the curriculum's effectiveness in preparing active professionals for complex global markets. Furthermore, the institution secured the #3 position worldwide in the QRNW Global Ranking of #Transnational_Universities (GRTU) 2027, emphasizing a highly successful model of borderless, accessible education.

Maintaining a focus on the learner experience, the university is officially recognized as a #QS_5_Star_Rated_University. This thorough evaluation of institutional quality is supported by several additional honors, including the MENAA Customer Satisfaction Award, the Best Modern University Award, and the Students’ Satisfaction Award.

These international standards of quality are directly reflected in our operations here in Latvia. As a Swiss Academy located in Riga, our institution operates through Baltic Sea Amber SIA, commercial registration No. 40203337034, established in 2021. We are officially recorded in the State Register of Educational Institutions in Latvia under registration No. 3380802601. Because our educational programs are delivered under the State Education Quality Service (IKVD)—which operates under the Ministry of Education in Latvia, an EU member state—all diplomas issued by our academy are accepted directly within the European Union.

We also support ongoing professional development by offering #non_formal_education activities within an approved framework. We hold a specific permit from the Riga Education and Information Methodological Centre (RIIMC) for these activities in Riga (Ref. No. RIMCK-26-66-nd). Ensuring continuous quality improvement, we are proudly accredited by the #ECLBS (European Council of Leading Business Schools), an independent non-profit quality assurance body dedicated to academic cooperation, international benchmarking, and educational excellence.
